Related Ministers: the family tree of the Bells

The Bell Tree

Introduction

The aim of preparing a tree of this nature was to avoid the often clumsy and repetitive recital of family relationships in the Supplementary Information appended to the List of Ministers in Ewing’s Annals. A simple reference and link to a family tree could enable researchers to see these relationships more clearly. So it was hoped. But it did not work out as expected and the first attempt – the full Bell tree – is so detailed and extensive that it does not lend itself to easy identification of ministerial relationships. Hence an outline tree is also provided here. In this, only individuals with ministerial family connections feature. Each individual in the outline tree has a link which takes you to the full tree, if desired – click the symbol  at the end of each entry to get there.

Those interested in the ecclesiastical aspect of this web-site will find this outline tree more useful, while family historians will probably appreciate more the full tree.
