1. James Stewart was tacksman in Callander, Perthshire. Note the family appear as Stewart or Stuart.

1.1. John Stewart (1781-1843) was the son of James Stewart, tacksman. He was minister of Blair Atholl, Perthshire: FES, Vol.4, p.145.

1.1.1. Athole Stuart (1818-1894) was the son of John Stewart, Blair Atholl. He was a Free Church minister.

1.1.2. Jane McConochie Stuart (1805-1899) was the daughter of John Stewart, Blair Atholl. She married Duncan Campbell, minister of Moulin, Perthshire: FES, Vol.4, p.170.

1.1.2.1. John Robert Campbell (1834-1894) was the son of Duncan Campbell, Moulin. He was minister of Monzievaird, Perthshire: FES, Vol.4, p.283.

1.1.2.2. Janetta Campbell (1844-1880) was the daughter of Duncan Campbell, Moulin. She married, as his first wife, Charles MacGregor, minister of Lady Yester’s, Edinburgh – see FES, Vol.1, p.84. He married, as his second wife, Williamina Marion Blair, daughter of Samuel Blair, minister of Dalry, Kirkcudbrightshire: FES, Vol.2, p.409.

1.1.2.3. Duncan Campbell (1847-1903) was the son of Duncan Campbell, Moulin. He was minister of St Matthew’s, Edinburgh: FES, Vol.1, p.114.

1.1.3. Ann Gillespie Stuart was the daughter of John Stewart, Blair Atholl. She married John Mackinlay, minister of Coylton, Ayrshire: FES, Vol.3, p.21.
